PLATFORM CO-OP or CO-OPERATIVE PLATFORM is a democratically governed co-operative company that creates a digital platform and uses a website, mobile application or a protocol to facilitate the sale of goods and services”

The term was born out of the desire to accompany social development due to changes and inequalities that digital transformation has created in recent years.

This movement promotes the redirection of technology towards a service to humanity and is a tool that can permit the creation of co-operative work at a grand scale.

Initiatives of this type of platform co-operative currently exist in Spain.

However, they are of limited scale and are poorly inter-connected.

Extending and scaling-up training whilst creating a national network that promotes the creation, assessment and acceleration of these initiatives will permit a growth that integrates diversity and the multi-regional reality of Spain to generate new businesses that create quality and fair employment, creating sustainable and humane alternatives through new digital co-operative projects.
